| The Maze Garden at Vizcaya |
It has been a whirlwind year for me. So many things have happened in the span of a few short months it's been hard to keep up with everything, so to satisfy my curious public, here is what's been happening.
New Inspiration
For my birthday (and a little inspiration) Patrick and I visited the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, near Miami's Coral Gables. It was truly amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The summer home to John Deering, the inventor of modern farm equipment, Vizcaya remains one of the best examples of Italian style architecture in the country. Built around the turn of last century, it features fossilized coral quarried in Miami and the Florida Keys, rather than marble, in its innumerous sculptures, fountains and foundations.
